Music or Fame?

Hello, friends!

I wanted to share some exciting updates with you all about where I am on my journey, and hopefully, inspire you to reflect on your own creative path.

Currently, I’m in Paris, embracing a new chapter in my life as I coach creatives across Europe. It's been incredible to connect with artists through Zoom and support their growth, even from across the ocean. If you're in Paris or know someone who would benefit from coaching, please don't hesitate to reach out. It's been such a rewarding experience, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to help people evolve and thrive in their art.

Back in Los Angeles, I’m thrilled to announce the Amplify Fundraiser, taking place on February 27th. This event is especially close to my heart as it’s raising funds for MusiCares to support those who have been affected by the recent fires in LA. We’re gathering the community to share music, libations (OPEN BAR ‘til we run out!) offer gear, artist services and other in kind donations, a Silent Auction - including voice lessons from a couple of my amazing colleagues!, myofascial massage, a JBL Playbox + more -  All to help those who lost so much during the tragedy.

We have an amazing lineup of artists including Upsahl, Jordan Suasyte, and MILCK, who will be performing live. Beyond the music, this event is about coming together to offer support, guidance, and to strengthen our bonds as a creative community. We have a ROUND TABLE conversation with the artists and some amazing surprise guests from the Music Industry!

One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned along this journey is that creativity is a lifelong pursuit. As artists, we don’t just create for the sake of fame or recognition; we create to express, connect, and evolve. The more I immerse myself in different aspects of life—whether it's teaching, learning, growing with my own children, or navigating new career paths—the more I realize that we are never truly "done" with our creative development. There’s always room for growth, always a new lesson to learn, and always new ways to connect with others.

Creativity, for me, is deeply intertwined with community. The most impactful creations are those that spark emotional connection. Whether it's a song, a conversation, or a moment of shared inspiration, it's these emotional bonds that leave a lasting legacy. I truly believe that as creatives, we’re not just here to make art, but to make a difference—to leave something that resonates with others long after we’re gone.

In this season of my life, I’m committed to deepening my understanding of myself, my art, and the people I work with. I’m always learning and always striving to evolve. Whether it’s through coaching, connecting with my community, or hosting events like Amplify, I’m constantly inspired by the ways we all come together to support each other and grow together.

If you’re someone who’s on a similar creative journey, I encourage you to reflect on the bigger picture. Why are you doing this? What kind of impact do you want to make? I believe that the most fulfilling part of being an artist or a creative is the legacy we leave behind—not just through our work, but through the connections and impact we have on others.

Let’s keep creating, keep learning, and keep supporting each other. Together, we can truly make the world a better place—one creative step at a time.

Thank you for being part of this journey with me.

Until next time,
Wendy Parr
